DOCTORAL THESIS AWARD

IN MEMORY OF M. LEFKOPOULOU

The Greek Statistical Institute wishes to invite recent Ph. D. recipients of Greek origin (in Greece or abroad) to submit their doctoral thesis, along with a supporting letter from their major professor, for the Doctoral Thesis Award of the Greek Statistical Institute in memory of the late M. Lefkopoulou, a biostatistician at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Harvard School of Public Health. The candidate must be of Greek nationality and the Ph. D. degree awarded during the last two years (1/1/01- 31/12/02).

Preference will be given to doctoral research work in biostatistics. The award consists of an honorarium to give a lecture at the Greek Statistical Meeting, an honorary diploma and a two-year membership of the Institute.

Application and two copies of the candidate thesis should be submitted to the Greek Statistical Institute until 10 March 2003, e-mail: esi@ath.forthnet.gr .
